After breakfast, we depart from the hotel to Pahalgam via Pampore and Avantipura. From here the road turns scenic as well as lonely, as we drive parallel to the Lidder River flowing from the opposite direction. On Arrival there you can visit ChandanwariAru Valley and Betab Valley at your own cost by union cabs. (You may also have lunch in these 3 places) Chandanwari is famous for its snow-sledding and snow fights. A few hours of drive on a semi-road from Pahalgam will take you to the place The Lidder river meanders on one side and the lofty, snow-capped mountains on the other. Chandanwari also has some of the best picnic spots at moderate altitudes. It is reachable by road it later got its present name after the blockbuster Bollywood movie 'Betaab' was shot there in 1983. The experience gets even more heightened by the musical whispers of several birds which call out everywhere. Being a precious jewel of Jammu and Kashmir tourism, this beautiful valley is among a handful of Pahalgam tourist sites to visit that should not be missed. Situated at walking distance from the main center of Pahalgam, Betaab Valley is also an excellent camping site for trekkers and explorers. You will be picked up by your guide after 6 pm.
